Blobs
The Maasai Mara is certainly not full! I read your Blog in regard to subject matter and I was worried as I was perusing my clients in Mexico to firm up their safari arrangements as the peak season was fast filling up. When they eventually communicated their decision to travel I was taken a back, to comfort myself I immediately forwarded the email to Woni Safaris. I was not surprised when they called and confirmed that they could only put up my clients at Main Governors Camp. This was beyond believe but it was indeed a go and now my clients can’t wait to go as their date with the world renowned Maasai Mara is confirmed starting August 24th, 2007.
My experience with our Kenya ground operator is that they either have the ability to hold rooms for last minute travels or it is the regular safari accommodation that is fully booked. In this regard it would be worth advising your clients that if their air bookings have just come through, they should not just pull out because the Serena’s, the Sarova’s and the Sopa’s are chock-blocked. Instead they should “upgrade” their safari travel and stay in the more superior and exclusive tented camps – the award wining Governors Camp, the Heritage Hotels and Fairmont, just to mention a few.
I will be submitting the many pre-safari expectations of these clients as they are unfortunately very busy to Blog their experiences at this stage.
